AHMER Saeed has put pen to paper on a deal to return to Ribblesdale League side Oswaldtwistle Immanuel next season.

The Pakistan all-rounded (left) broke the club's batting record at New Lane last summer.

"We are absolutely delighted that he has signed and we are looking forward to having him back," said skipper Gerard Metcalf.

Meanwhile Immanuel's Oliver Clare has been voted the best fielder in the Ribblesdale League - the umpires vote for the award.

And Immanuel's scorer Laura Roberts was also in the prizes as she was voted the best scorer in the league.

Elsewhere the Ribblesdale League's Under 15 team defeated the Lancashire County League in the Michael Roach Shield final (the Lancashire Inter League competition) at Read CC.

Included in the Ribblesdale League's side were Baxenden's Toby Bulcock and A Swindles and Immanuel's Daniel Metcalf.

The Lancashire County League were all out for 128 with Toby Bulcock taking 3-29 while the Ribblesdale League made 132-3 in reply to clinch the trophy.

The Ribblesdale League had seen off Bolton Association, Central Lancashire League and Palace Shield to reach the final.
