Pioneer 79 Swimming Club’s Niamh Robinson has had a stroke of luck after gaining sponsorship.

Niamh, 12 approached TP Properties about a possible deal last year.

She chose the company because TP Properties find, adapt and build properties to allow people with disabilities to lead as normal lives as is possible.

She informed the company of her achievements – including numerous county and regional medals, along with achieving the necessary times to compete at the National Age Group Championships.

TP Properties said they would support her for the next year and the funds have allowed Niamh to purchase much needed swimming costumes, both training and competitive, along with swimming goggles and hats.

The funds have also assisted in paying the costs of entry fees for events, along with hotel costs incurred for competitions held further afield.

The money has also helped Niamh attend a swim camp organised Pioneer 79 to Spain.

Without this financial assistance, Niamh’s parents would have been unable to afford the equipment and various fees required to allow her to compete at such high levels.

After receiving this package, Niamh went on to compete in the National Age Group Championships and reached two finals.

Since then she has gone on to improve beyond all expectations.

She has already achieved 1 National Age Group Qualifying time and is looking to better last season’s achievements.

She will be in a great position come June to achieve qualification for the National Age Group Championships held in July at Sheffield.

n Pioneer 79 is based at Hyndburn SC and Shadsworth.
