TEENAGE darts sensation James Guilfoyle is on course for success after starring in a British tournament.

The 19-year-old, of Station Road, Huncoat, has just returned from Ireland, where he guided the North of England under-21s darts team to victory over Scotland, Wales and the host country, to take the title.

He said: "It was really good. We played three games each and we managed to do very well. It was my first time taking part in a competition as big as this and it was a great experience. I really enjoyed every minute."

James admitted he now hopes to enter the sport professionally. It is something I really want to do," he said. "I've got a taste for this kind of thing now and I want to experience more. I will just have to keep going at it and see what happens."
