Town woes continue as Leek run amok

Leek CSOB 4 Great Harwood Town 0

ANOTHER disastrous outing saw Great Harwood Town go down 4-0 at Harrison Park to the North West Counties League Second Division's bottom side, Leek CSOB.

John Hughes' side have now lost three in a row, conceding 12 goals while not managing a single strike thmselves.

Saturday's crash was all the more disappointing as they held out for more than an hour before the home side struck.

But it was all downhill after goalkeeper Bobby Harris presented Leek forward Naggington with a gift goal, courtesy of a fluffed throw-out.

The same striker struck again in the 73rd minute and added two more in the last two minutes to complete Harwood's afternoon of misery.

That win lifted Leek CSOB off the foot of the table at the expense of Oldham Town, who are Harwood's opponents tomorrow away at the Whitebank Stadium(Kick-off 3pm) in the Quarter-Finals of the Second Division Knock-Out Cup.

The competition represents Harwood's last real chance of winning any silverware this season
