KEITH Barker, Joel Byrom and Matt Derbyshire all played their part as Blackburn Rovers set up a huge FA Youth Cup quarter-final tie against Manchester United.

The local trio helped Rovers see off Gillingham in a 2-1 win on Tuesday - with former Enfield cricketer Barker having one effort cleared off the line.

Meanwhile, Burnley's Richard Chaplow became the winner of the first "FA Young Lion" award.

The Accrington lad gave the best performance from a young English player aged under 21 last week thanks to his England Under 21 debut and a wonder goal in the Clarets 4-2 win over Ipswich on Saturday.
