ACCRINGTON Stanley have allowed George Bowerman to join non-league side Stourbridge on loan.

The 22-year-old striker has yet to feature for the Reds' first team since John Coleman replaced James Beattie as manager at the Store First Stadium.

So Coleman has let the ex-Walsall trainee, who was brought to the club by Beattie last October, return to his native Midlands until January 3.

Stourbridge are three leagues below Stanley in the Evo-Stik Premier and are currently 11th in the table.

Young defender Liam Goulding recently joined their league rivals Belper Town on loan from Stanley.

Keeper Andrew Dawber and striker James Jenkins remain on loan at Evo-Stik North sides Clitheroe and Padiham, respectively.

- ACADEMY manager Keith Brown made a permanent exit from Stanley this week after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

Brown was brought to the club by Beattie in the summer of 2013 and led Stanley's Under-18s to the fifth round of last season's FA Youth Cup, the furthest Stanley has ever gone in the competition.

During that run teenage winger Connor Mahoney earned a dream move to his hometown club Blackburn.

But the young Reds fell at the first hurdle this term, suffering a 1-0 defeat at Fleetwood last Wednesday, and Brown has now chosen to pursue a career coaching and managing in adult football.

Stanley chairman Peter Marsden said: “Keith was the architect of one of the greatest Cup performances in the history of Accrington Stanley, the youth team’s success against West Ham in the FA Youth Cup.

“Keith also played a prominent role in the nurturing of Connor Mahoney’s talent which subsequently led to Connor’s move to Blackburn Rovers. We wish Keith good fortune.”

Brown added: “I should like to thank the chairman for having given me the opportunity at Stanley to develop as a young coach and for his support throughout my time here.

“It has been a privilege to work with the group of young players and coaches at the football club who have bought into my ambitions for them. I am proud of their achievements and wish them and the football club all the very best for the future.”

- STANLEY have been drawn away to League One Notts County in the first round of this season's FA Cup. The match will be played on the weekend of November 8/9.
