People across Accrington have been getting into the charity spirit for Children in Need.

Today (Friday, November 13), young and old alike across the area have been helping to raise funds for the BBC’s UK corporate charity which provides grants to projects which focus on disadvantaged children and young people.

Children at Rishton Methodist Primary School dressed in their own clothes and fancy dress to pose with Children in Need mascot Pudsey, while St Mary Magdalen’s School held a superhero day in support of Children in Need.

Amelia Whittaker’s mom sent us a picture of her daughter in her finest superhero costume for the St Magdalen’s event.

There were cute tots aplenty, with both 10-month-old Evie Jordan and two-year-old Kaelan Prickett sporting Pudsey onesies.
