Cases heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:

Steven Anthony Jones, 29, of Northfield Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Thomas David Sumner, 28, of Lamb Row, Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to drink driving and using a car without insurance. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 13 months, reduced by 13 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Delio Schmidt, 45, of Norfolk Grove, Church, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £210, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 20 months, reduced by 20 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Winifred Marie McDonagh, 50, of Wesley Street, Church, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. She was fined £35 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

John William Price, 44, of Whinney Hill Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to entering an outbuilding as a trespasser and stealing a wood chipper worth £7,000. He was given an 18-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months with a supervision requirement, 200 hours unpaid work and was ordered to pay £5,000 compensation.

John Harris Gordon, 53, of Pendle Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to possessing diamorphine. He was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Vaqas Ahmed, 27, of Derby Street, Nelson, pleaded guilty to using a car without insurance on the M65 motorway in Accrington. He was fined £440, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Annie Patricia Stokes, 35, of Royds Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the supervision requirements imposed following her release from prison. She was given a supervision default order with a 20-day curfew.

Mike Dean Tylor, 38, of Wellington Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to being the owner of a boxer cross dog that was dangerously out of control and caused injury to another person. He also pleaded guilty to a separate count of theft from Boots. He was given a 12-month community order with a 14-day curfew requirement, a nine-month drug rehabilitation requirement, a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £150 compensation.

Sarah Appleby, 43, of Clarke Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Shana Marie Bibby, 24, of Walter Street, Oswaldtwistle, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Hayley Burnett, 23, of Stanley Street, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Claire Currie, 25, of Rydal Close, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Lisa Furness, 35, of Coniston Avenue, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Steve Hobday, 47, of Victoria Street, Rishton, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Joanne Knight, 34, of Alexandra Close, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Amy Moorhouse, 23, of Washington Street, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Stacey Thornton, 25, of Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Jason Bates, 46, of Aysgath Drive, Accrington, pleaded guilty to being the parent of a child of compulsory school age who failed to secure regular attendance at the school. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £50 costs.

Sajjad Fazal, 40, of Willows Lane, Accrington, pleaded guilty to being the parent of a child of compulsory school age who failed to secure regular attendance at the school. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £50 costs.

Wayne Michael Nix, 42, of Spring Hill Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to four counts of theft from shops in Accrington. He was given a six-week jail sentence, suspended for 18 months with a supervision requirement, a nine-month drug rehabilitation requirement, a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £737 compensation and £85 costs.

Gary Adam Hunneybell, 29, of Avenue Parade, Accrington, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was given a 10-week jail sentence, suspended for 18 months with a supervision requirement, a 12-week curfew, a 35-day rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.

Mohammed Asif Nawaz, 29, of Eddleston Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to supplying cigarettes where the packaging did not comply with the legal warning requirements. He was fined £150 and ordered to pay £140 costs.

John Richard Wilcock, 29, of Lydia Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was jailed for 10 weeks.

Courtney Campbell, 20, of Wordsworth Close, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to breaching the peace. She was bound over in the sum of £50 for 12 months to keep the peace.
