A man had part of his left ear bitten off during a pub fight.

Police said the 24-year-old victim and his attacker got into an argument at the Cross Guns pub in Church which then broke out into a fight.

The victim was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment and needed plastic surgery to repair his ear.

The offender is described as white with a heavy build, in his mid 30s, around 5ft 7ins tall with a shaved head and wearing blue jeans and a red checked shirt.

The incident happened at the pub on Church Street at 8.30pm on Sunday, August 25.
