A rock and rolling couple are due to celebrate 60 years of marriage.
Pauline Riley, 79, and husband Harry of Oakwood Road, Accrington met at a rock and roll dance class in 1952 and have been dancing to the same beat ever since.
The diamond pair bonded over their love of Cliff Richard, Elvis and Johnnie Ray at Haslingden Liberal Club.
Pauline, a retired sewing machinist, said: “We were at the dance with different groups of friends and just got chatting.
“We arranged to meet again and we eventually got married at 19.”
The couple settled in Helmshore, before moving to Accrington around a decade ago.
They have two children, four grandchildren and also two great-grandchildren.
They will be celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary on May 7 with friends and family.
Pauline added: “It will hopefully be a really nice day, we are both looking forward to it and are waiting and hoping on a letter from the Queen.”
Pauline said the secret to a long and happy marriage was “compromise”.
She said: “It’s give and take, nowadays a lot of people give it up, but you need to stick at it.”
