Accrington and Rossendale College celebrated its 60th birthday with an exhibition looking back into the college’s rich history.
The exhibition of old prospectuses and photographs gave staff and students the opportunity to see how the college had changed over the years.
Sue Taylor, principal of the college, said they were pleased to have reached the landmark.
She said: “It's fantastic to see how far the college has moved on since 1953. We are very proud of our position as a key part of Accrington's heritage.”
The college was opened on December 2, 1953, and the display of old photographs appeared for a week. The display was created by Jackie Ramsbottom, who works in the college library, with help from Accrington Library.
