Burglars smashed their way into a furniture suppliers and stole cash and electronic equipment.
Unknown offenders broke into Bevlan Office Interiors based at York Mill on Livesey Street in Rishton in the early hours of Wednesday, April 22.
Bev Mercer, managing director, said they ransacked the building and made off with petty cash and an electronic tablet.
Police arrived at the scene at around 5am and are believed to have disturbed the burglars.
Company staff were first alerted by an intruder alarm at around 3am, however when they arrived at the mill they thought it had been set off by birds. However the alarm went off again at 4.30pm and they realised a burglary had taken place.
Bev, who set up the company with her father 30 years ago, said: “When they came back again the police were already here. They got in by kicking through the door in the yard.
"Thankfully the computers weren’t taken as otherwise we wouldn’t be able to do any business. We are open as normal."
Police said the burglars fled the scene an no arrests have been made. Call police on 101.
