Central and Springhill Neighbourhood policing teams dismantled two cannabis cultivation set ups in Accrington.
One set up made up of 30 small plants was dismantled on Hopwood Street on Tuesday, October 20. Hundreds of snap bags and scales with white powder were also seized. Officers simultaneously discovered another set up on Richmond Hill Street where 45 plants were discovered.
Earlier this month our exclusive special report revealed that 58 cannabis set ups were found across the borough in 2014/15 - an average of one every six days.
The figures, obtained by the Observer under the Freedom of Information Act, showed that the number had doubled from 29 farms found the previous year, with a total of 25 of them being found in terraced houses.
Anyone with information should contact police quoting log reference numbers 0691 and 0763 respectively.
