Celebrity chef Richard Fox will be the star guest at next month’s Accrington Food and Drink Festival.
Dubbed ‘The Beer Chef’, Mr Fox will front this year’s cookery stage on Broadway where more than 4,000 people are expected to attend.
Organisers said there will be a host of culinary delights, proudly produced by local farmers and independent traders, for visitors to sample during the special one-day event on Saturday, June 6.
Mr Fox wrote The Food and Beer Cook Book and starred in the ITV series Men Brewing Badly alongside Neil Morrissey. He is set to be the star attraction as he demonstrates his cooking skills and specialises in turning leftovers into gastronomic masterpieces.
He follows in the footsteps of other celebrity chefs to the festival in recent years including James Martin and Gizzi Erskine.
The newly rebranded event, which is free to attend, will also commemorate the 71st anniversary of the D-Day landings. In addition, two vintage buses from Darwen Transport will collect passengers from Hyndburn and the districts and drop them off right on the doorstep of the festival.
