Fitness classes in Clayton-le-Moors were given a splash of colour as part of the Wear it Pink campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Members of the Chair Based Exercise Group at the Arthur Wilson Centre all wore pink clothes and donated money to charity.
Donna Pope, who runs the weekly classes along with other fitness groups, has supported the campaign since 2004, raising more than £800 over the years.
She said: “I started doing it because my friend was diagnosed with breast cancer, and it’s something you want to carry on doing.
“A lot of the ladies know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, and some people in the groups are breast cancer survivors.
“By Wearing it Pink we’re helping the 50,000 women and 350 men diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK.”
Chair-based exercise classes cater for people who are not able to exercise standing up, as well as helping them to socialise.
Sessions are held every Thursday between 10am and 11am at the Arthur Wilson Centre on Pickup Street.
People who want to join can call Donna on 07890 848694.
