Driver injured after car flipped onto its side in road collision

A driver suffered minor injuries after a car flipped onto its side following a road collision.

Emergency services were called to Richmond Road in Accrington and found a Fiat Punto on its roof after a collision with a Toyota Yaris.

Firefighters from Hyndburn used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the man who had suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for assessment.

The incident happened at around 9.30pm on Wednesday, July 15.
