A drug dealer who had a disguised stun gun at his home is facing jail.

Gregory Place, 31, of Chester Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty at Burnley Crown Court to possessing a stun gun disguised as another object, producing cannabis, possessing cannabis with intent to supply, possessing crack cocaine and abstracting electricity between October 2014 and February 2016.

His partner Donna Hibbert, 48, also of Chester Street, pleaded guilty to possessing amphetamines, abstracting electricity and being concerned in the production of cannabis.

Stephen Parker, prosecuting, said the pleas were ‘acceptable’ to the Crown after consideration of the case. Sarah Magill, defending Hibbert, said she is of ‘some vulnerability’ and requested a pre-sentence report.

Judge Jonathan Gibson adjourned the case and both defendants were due to be sentenced on Thursday, April 7.

He said: “You have both pleaded guilty and will get proper credit for your pleas in due course.

“Gregory Place given the nature of the charges you have pleaded guilty to the only real question is what the appropriate length of sentence is.”
