A mum has spoken of her pride after her 11-year-old daughter was crowned with a martial arts championship.
Eryn Fletcher, of Bluebell Way, Huncoat defeated tough competition to win the Muay Thai British Title.
The Huncoat Primary School pupil, who has been training at JC’s Gym in Accrington for the past three years, fought five rounds to come out on top.
Mum Kelly Fletcher said: “We are all incredibly proud of what she has achieved. She is so dedicated to the sport, she sacrifices a lot especially in the run up to a fight.
“We have to feed her all the right food and cut the sugar out, she is absolutely brilliant.”
She added: “This is her third title belt, and at this young age she has lots to offer in the sport.
“She trains six times a week and started a couple of weeks before her eighth birthday.”
