Farm owners are being put on alert by police after two burglaries in two nights.
Lancashire Police said a burglary was reported at a farm building off Whalley Road in Great Harwood overnight between February 2 and 3.
The offenders forced open a shipping container and stole various property.
Anthony Ford, watch liaison officer for the eastern police division, said they also made an ‘unsuccessful attempt’ to force the door of a boiler room adjoining the residential property.
Another farm off Clinkham Road in Great Harwood was also raided overnight between 6pm on February 3 and 7am on February 4.
Mr Ford said the burglars opened a set of gates to access a storage building.
He said: “The building entrance was secured and a tractor and trailer parked across the door for further security.
“Offenders have disconnected the trailer to gain access to building, entered and stole property.”
Police are advising farm owners to install battery-operated alarms and domestic CCTV systems.
