THE brightest and best from the world of sport will descend on Accrington Town Hall for the Hyndburn Sports Awards.
The awards ceremony, hosted by Hyndburn Leisure Trust, aims to thank the unsung sporting heroes of the borough’s community who work tirelessly to promote sport.
The awards, on Friday, September 18, will recognise volunteers, teams, clubs and coaches from across Hyndburn.
Kerry Smith, from the Hyndburn Leisure Trust, said: “The Awards promises to be a fantastic evening and I look forward to seeing all the nominees and hearing once again about their achievements.

Categories at this year’s awards include Adult Volunteer of the Year, Coach of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Community Club of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Primary School of the Year, Secondary School of the Year, Inspire Award, Services to Disability Sport and Team of the Year.
