Firefighters are investigating whether a fire was started deliberately at a town centre building.
Two crews battled the blaze at the Old Churchills building on Paradise Street for an hour on Sunday, October 18.
Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus pitched a ladder and entered the building through a window on the fourth floor at around 7.21pm. They used a hosereel jet to extinguish the fire.
No one was injured in the blaze but an investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the fire.
A Lancashire Fire spokesman said: “Investigations will be taking place during the course of the day to establish how the fire was started.”
