Hundreds of people are set to flock to Rishton to take part in the 12th annual village festival.
This year organisers have announced a ‘Stars in their Eyes’ theme with visitors being encouraged to dress up as celebrities.
Last year’s event drew in a record 1,000 people and organisers said they hope for bigger numbers this year.
Christine Hammerton, of the festival committee, said: “We are hoping for even bigger numbers this year and hope everyone on the day will embrace this year’s theme of ‘Stars In Their Eyes’.
“People can dress up as a star like Michael Jackson or Tina Turner and if the stallholders want they could have figures or cut-outs next to their stalls. It was a brilliant day again last year with a great turnout and the weather was fantastic.
“We are hoping for the same again this year and for lots of people to dress up and join in the fun.”
The festival will take place on Saturday, July 4 starting with a parade from Rishton train station to Norden High School.
For the third year running visitors will also be able to enjoy a beer and cider tent and there will also be around 30 stalls and demonstrations.
