A 10-year-old girl has been taken to hospital with a broken leg after a collision with a car.

Paramedics and police were called to Harvey Street in Oswaldtwistle near the junction with Thwaites Road following the incident at around 2.20pm on Sunday, February 14.

Lancashire Police said the road was blocked off to deal with the collision.

The girl was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with a broken leg and suspected pelvic injuries. Her condition is not described as life threatening.

No arrests have been made.
