A fire in an attic is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
Fire crews from Hyndburn were called to a house on Windsor Road in Great Harwood and found the attic room ablaze.
Crew manager Steven Hartley said the cause of the fire is under investigation but it possibly started from an electric fault.
He said: “We were called to a fire in the attic and when we got there it was well alight.
“About 20 per cent of it was destroyed by the fire and the rest was heavily smoke logged.
“The fire didn't spread to the roof or any of the other floors and there were no injuries.”
The incident happened just before 10am on Monday, October 14.
