Huncoat pop sensation Diana Vickers is starring in a new West End play.

The award-winning actress and singer, pictured, is starring alongside comedian Ben Miller in The Duck House, a Parliamentary comedy set in a world of dodgy receipts and dodgier deceit.

The show tells the story of Labour backbencher Robert Houston as he becomes embroiled in the expenses scandal as he attempts to change political parties.

Former X Factor contestant Diana, 22, who won the What’s On Stage Award for Best Newcomer for her role as LV in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, plays Holly in the political comedy. Speaking to her followers on Twitter ahead of the opening night, Diana said: “It’s the first preview tonight of the Duck House at the Vaudeville Theatre in the West End! How excited am I?”

The satire has been penned by writers Dan Patterson and Colin Swash and directed by Terry Johnson.

Diana released her second album Music To Make Boys Cry in September and will also star in new comedy series ‘Give Out Girls’, which will air on Sky Living, in early 2014.

Diana has been busy touring the UK with the cast of The Duck House before the show hit the Vaudeville Theatre, in the West End, on November 27. The show runs until March 29, 2014.
