Cases heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:

Wayne Michael Nix, 42, of Spring Hill Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to stealing cashmere jumpers worth £340 from Marks and Spencer. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Janet Furness, 48, of Ormerod Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis and amphetamines. She was fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Martyn James Golden, 33, of Pendle Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to producing four cannabis plants. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Gregory Craig Place, 31, of Chester Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and using a car without insurance. He was fined £240 and given six points on his driving licence.

Frederick Jason Sagar, 44, of Arnold Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to four counts of shoplifting and while subject to a suspended sentence order. He was jailed for 46 weeks.

Scott David Hague, 32, of Charter Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and using a car without insurance while subject to a conditional discharge order. He was given a 12-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months with a supervision requirement and 150 hours unpaid work, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Saqeb Javed, 24, of Willows Lane, Accrington, was found guilty of driving without due care and attention. He was fined £60, ordered to pay £300 costs and given three points on his driving licence.

Samuel Adam Todd, 26, of Hodder Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and using a car without insurance while subject to a suspended prison sentence. He was given a 19-week jail sentence, suspended for two years with a 40-day rehabilitation activity requirement and 300 hours unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for six years.

Ellesse Anders Schofield, 20, of Market Street, Church, pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order. She was given a 12-month community order with a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £20 and ordered to pay £50 compensation and £100 costs.

Paul Allan Gill, 44, of Cross Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to three counts of shoplifting and one count of failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, fined £40 and ordered to pay £20 compensation.

Benjamin John Queen, 25, of Bridge Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and using a car without insurance. He was given an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for 24 months with a supervision requirement, a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement, 100 hours unpaid work, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 24 months.

Catherine Elizabeth Howson, 31, of John Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and assault by beating. She was given a 12-month community order with a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £10 and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

June Bray, 24, of Barnes Street, Church, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £60 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Daniel John Burke, 34, of Glebe Street, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Sharon Corbett, 28, of Lodge Street, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £60 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Alecia Demaine, 28, of Burton Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Steve Dunn, 41, of Mercer Street, Great Harwood, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £60 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Joanne Rigby, 32, of Glebe Street, Great Harwood, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £60 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Charlotte Roper, 22, of St Johns Street, Great Harwood, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £60 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Julian Slaney, 36, of Wesley Street, Oswaldtwistle, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £60 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Elaine Mary Talbot, 40, of Louie Pollard Crescent, Great Harwood, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Penny Walsh, 36, of Lime Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Sarah Wheatcroft, 32, of Manchester Road, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £60 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Wade Andrew Rushton, 19, of Warwick Close, Accrington, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and criminal damage. He was fined £110 and ordered to pay £110 compensation and £120 costs.

Mark Andrew Warner, 31, of Oak Street, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal. He was fined £110, ordered to pay £300 costs and disqualified from keeping a dog for two years.

Marcus Andrew Warburton, 26, of Bank Street, Church, pleaded guilty to taking a car without consent, driving without a licence and using a car without insurance. He was fined £375, ordered to pay £85 costs and given eight points on his driving licence.

Daniel Michael Spain, 34, of Stanley Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to four counts of breaching a restraining order.

He was given a nine-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay £85 costs.
