More than £12,000 worth of cannabis was found following a house raid in Clayton-le-Moors.

Police swooped on York Close and discovered 31 cannabis plants inside.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis and has been released on police bail until July 30 pending further enquiries.

Community Beat Manager PC Paul Pountain said the raid on June 14 was the third drugs warrant carried out last month by the Clayton-le-Moors and Altham Neighbourhood Policing Team.

He added: "We are determined to act on information from members of the public to remove drugs from our communities.

"I would encourage anyone who has any information about drugs to contact us either anonymously or by speaking to us in person."

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
