A semi-professional footballer has been sacked after being filmed having sex with a fan in a dug-out at a Tameside ground.
Clitheroe striker Jay Hart was caught in the act on a mobile phone, still in his club t-shirt with his tracksuit bottoms around his legs.
The 24-year-old father-of-two, from Accrington, can be heard laughing on the footage.
His antics came after his team slumped to a 4-1 away defeat at Evo-Stik Division 1 North rivals Mossley AFC’s Seel Park ground in Ashton-Under-Lyne .
The Tameside club promoted their final game of the season as a ‘ladies day’ in a bid to attract more women.
The face of the female supporter cannot be seen on the mobile footage.
But within hours of the video being circulated to team-mates and fans, Hart was sacked by the club.
Hart, who admitted in shame in a statement, said he had ‘had a couple of drinks’ after the match and thought he and the women were out of sight.
Clitheroe chairwoman Anne Barker said Hart had brought the club into disrepute, adding: “Any players, while wearing a Clitheroe tracksuit, represents the club.
“We expect a certain level of behaviour and discipline. And that wasn’t it.”
Hart said: “I’m full of regret. I’d had a couple of drinks. I was away from everyone and thought I was hidden.”
Clitheroe boss Simon Garner has also told Hart to return his club tracksuit.
