Accrington is on flood alert as today's severe weather continues.

Strong winds and more rain is forecast for today and tomorrow.

Firefighters are currently on standby throughout the borough.

The Environment Agency issued the flood warning earlier today and have predicted 60 milimetres of rain will fall in the next 24 hours.
