Accrington and Rossendale College has been named one of the top centres in the country.
The latest National Success Rate Tables released by the Skills Funding Agency shows the college has the best further education (FE) success rates in East Lancashire. It has also been ranked 13th – or in the top six per cent – of all 218 colleges in the country.
Qualification success rates give an indication of how well colleges and training organisations perform in a particular academic year. They show what proportion of learning was successfully completed.
College principal Sue Taylor said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have the best student success rates of any FE college in East Lancashire and are the 13th highest performing college in the country out of a huge 218 colleges. This is an amazing accolade and the highest we have ever been.
“This shows how hard working and dedicated our students and staff are and they truly deserve to be recognised in this way.”
The college is also introducing a new A-Level provision from September to allow students to choose and mix of BTEC and A-Levels.
