Stanley's commemorative ticket design

Accrington Stanley have revealed the design of their 'commemorative' FA Cup tickets for a 'virtual' third round tie against Manchester United.

The Observer has been given an exclusive peak of the tickets for the match that never was.

Stanley chairman Peter Marsden said the proceeds generated from the commemorative tickets would be used towards helping manager John Coleman strengthen the squad.

He said: “They’re a bit of a novelty and rather than asking for a donation people can have this limited edition ticket. Who knows, we might even get Chelsea in the next round.”

The Reds were knocked out of the tournament after a second round replay 2-0 defeat to Yeovil Town on December 16.

If Stanley were to have beaten Yeovil they would have faced Manchester United at the Crown Ground on January 4.

The fixture may have passed Stanley by, but the club is still hoping to cash in with 250 'special edition commemorative tickets' now on sale at £20 apiece.

The special edition commemorative Manchester United tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at accringtonstanley.co.uk .
