BINGO-mad Alison Moseley was dancing in the aisles this week after scooping a whopping £101,000.

The delighted mum-of-two, from Oswaldtwistle, hit the jackpot after getting a full house playing the National Bingo Game.

She said: "I thought I had won the regional prize of £1,000, but it came as a big shock when they announced I had won the lot."

And generous Alison, 38, who admitted needed a stiff brandy to steady her nerves after the win, has agreed to share her booty with her bingo playing pals Marion Arkwright, Joe Holden and his son John Holden, all from Accrington. The four friends visit the Empire Bingo hall in Blackburn Road, Accrington, every Thursday night.

She laughed: "We all agreed we would share the money whoever won, but I am kicking myself now. I have been playing 13 years altogether. We have won £250 between us before, but never anything like this."

Alison, who works in Oswaldtwistle as a dental practice manager, lives with her husband James, a chemical engineer, and their 12-year-old daughter, Nicola.

Looking forward to enjoying her new wealth, she said: "I want to pay off everything on my credit card and take the family away on a really nice holiday."

But buying a new car is off the cards at the moment. She explained "I failed my driving test last Saturday, so there wouldn't be much point. Nicola has asked for some new clothes, though, so I'm sure we'll be hitting the shops."
