Two allotment sheds were destroyed in an arson attack.

Firefighters were called to the allotment on Merlin Drive in Oswaldtwistle at around 7.20pm on Friday, March 9.

They used hose reels to put out the fire which also caused slight fire damage to a wall plate.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said two fire crews spent an hour at the scene and the fire was started deliberately.

Arsonists are believed to have set fire to a skip in Clayton-le-Moors.

One fire crew from Hyndburn spent about 30 minutes putting out the fire on Atlas Street at around 8.30pm on Saturday, March 10.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said the contents of the skip were believed to be rubbish and the fire was started deliberately.
