Cases heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:

  • John Hughes, 61, of Stone Hey, Accrington, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress and the offence was racially aggravated.

He was fined £200, ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.

  • Thomas Owen McKee, 22, of Devonshire Drive, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place and failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail.

He was fined a total of £145, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

  • Daniel Curwen, 30, of Lomax Street, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to drink driving, failing to stop after an accident, failing to report an accident to police and failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail. He was given a 12-month community order with a supervision requirement, ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid work, pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 25 months, reduced by 25 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
  • Chloe Louise Wold, 18, of Eagle Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to committing arson by destroying a bin.

She was given a 12-month community order with a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement, ordered to pay £44.40 compensation and a £180 criminal courts charge.

  • Jose Vieira, 28, of Moorhouse Close, Accrington, was found guilty of assault by beating. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £100 compensation and £450 costs.
  • Shana Marie Bibby, 23, of Walter Street, Oswaldtwistle, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Sheena Bibby, 39, of Charter Street, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Steve Field, 53, of Richmond Street, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Jessica Howard, 25, of St Johns Street, Great Harwood, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Debbie Louise, 30, of Slaidburn Drive, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Lucille McLaughlin, 46, of Sparth Avenue, Clayton-le-Moors, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £160 costs.
  • Jenny McNeil, 21, of William Street, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Carrie-Ann Paterson, 29, of Maudsley Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. She was fined £35 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Kimberley Pilkington, 24, of Grimshaw Street, Church, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Kelly Shackleton, 25, of Albert Street, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to using a television without a licence. She was fined £130 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Samantha Shields, 25, of Cliff Street, Rishton, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Dawn Smith, 43, of Alice Street, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
  • Gavin Smith, 33, of Rothwell Avenue, Accrington, was found guilty in his absence of using a television without a licence. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

Cases heard at Burnley Magistrates Court:

  • Mark Anthony Corbett, 29, of Percy Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to two counts each of driving while disqualified, failing to stop when required to do so by police and dangerous driving, one count of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and while subject to a suspended sentence order.

He was jailed for a total of 64 weeks and disqualified from driving for 10 years.
