A FORMER Big Brother star dropped into an Oswaldtwistle school to offer some costume advice in the lead up to their school production.

Former reality TV star Sissy Rooney showed pupils at Rhyddings Business and Enterprise school how to create costumes out of recycled materials.

The cousin of footballer Wayne works for a ‘Style Surgery’ Manchester, which helps disadvantaged children express themselves through fashion.

Anne Booth, who helped organise the workshops, said Sissy’s expertise had helped students create innovative costumes for their December production of Moulin Rouge.

She said: "Sissy showed examples of how to make their own costumes using bits of used clothes and old material - it was really good.

"We have two weeks to go until the production - it’s going to be fun."

The school’s latest visitor comes after Rhyddings held a National Community Cohesion Conference visited by 40 schools from across the country.

The school which encourages extended services and community cohesion will stage its four-night production of Moulin Rouge from 14 - 17 December.
