Toy Story 3 and Annie are among films to be showcased in Accrington as part of this year's National Schools Film Week.

Local schoolchildren will be able to go to the cinema free of charge during the festival, running from 14-22 October.

It aims to support teaching by providing schools with a powerful experience for their students that links directly to elements of the curriculum.

Bookings are being taken now for screenings at the Accrington Vue cinema, on Hyndburn Road.

Other films include Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, Igor, Alice in Wonderland, The Princess and the Frog and Planet 51.
