A seven-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being bitten on the head by a dog.
Police said the incident happened on Knotwood Court in Accrington when the boy was out with friends riding his bike.
Officers said the group approached another 13-year-old boy who was walking a family husky dog on its lead at around 6.15pm on Thursday, August 18.
The dog then jumped up at the boy and bit him on the head, causing him to fall off his bike.
North West Ambulance Service said they were called at 6.15pm to reports a boy had suffered head injuries. He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment and the injuries are not thought to be serious. No arrests have been made.
Lancashire Police said the dog was seized on the night of the incident and the owners have been ‘cooperative’.
The case has now been passed on to the Crown Prosecution Service who will determine if any further action is necessary.
