Burglars raided a popular sandwich shop and stole a safe – leaving the owner devastated.
Police are hoping the public can help them catch those who broke into The Butty Bar on Burnley Road, Accrington.
PC Andrew Kelley said the offenders jumped a wall before breaking in through the kitchen windows at the back of the shop between 4.30am and 7am on July 7.
He said: "In order to gain entry, they have removed the window grills which were bolted to the wall, climbed through the top window into the kitchen area and then removed the safe and it’s fitting which were also bolted to the wall.
"This burglary has left the shop owner devastated and has had a huge impact on her and her family and so I would urge anyone who thinks they may be able to help us find out who is responsible to come forward.
"I would particularly appeal to any one who may have been in the area between 4.30am and 7am who may have seen anything suspicious to report it to police."
