Fashionistas strutted their stuff during a special event to raise money for a cancer charity.

The fashion show, held at The Peel Park Hotel, attracted more than 100 people and raised a whopping £650 for Hyndburn Macmillan.

Those attending the show watched models wearing clothes from Extreme Fashion, on Water Street, Accrington, and shoes, bags and jewellery from Barbara Kay, also based in the town.

Jeanette Parkes, fundraising manager, said a cheque was presented to Macmillan Cancer Support last week.

He said: “The night was a huge success and the monies raised came from the admission on the door and the raffle plus a donation from both Extreme and Barbara Kay.”
