CCTV appeal after attempted burglary at Accrington business

Police have released CCTV of someone they wish to speak regarding an attempted burglary in Accrington.

It happened on Blackburn Road at around 3.45am on Wednesday, June 6 when a man approached a business with a pair of bolt cutters.

A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “An unknown offender approached the front of a locked premises and tried to break the lock on the shutters but was unsuccessful.

“He had a pair of bolt cutters and used them to try and break the lock but hasn’t managed it.”

If you recognise the man on the CCTV call PC Akoo on 101 quoting reference number 512 for June 3.
