Police in Accrington have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to in connection with a burglary in Accrington where over £10,000 worth of jewellery was stolen.

The burglary is believed to have taken place sometime between 12pm and 3pm on Tuesday, January 15 at an address on Whalley Road in Accrington.

Following the initial appeal for information, details were passed to police by a local business owner and this has led to a large proportion of the jewellery being recovered but some still remains outstanding.

PC Steve Dundon has renewed the police's appeal for information.

He said: “It is fantastic that we have been able to reunite some of the jewellery with the owners and I would like to thank the people who have come forward with information that has helped us to do this - help like this from the local community is absolutely invaluable.

“However, we need to trace the people responsible for the burglary and recover the rest of the items that remain outstanding and so we are re-appealing for information.

“We have released CCTV images of two men we are looking to speak to in connection with this and we would urge anyone who recognises the images to come forward and contact us.”

Anyone with any information should call Lancashire Police on 101.
