CELEBRITY couple Jordan and Peter Andre were the inspiration behind a bride’s fairytale wedding.
AJ Mullen, 35, and Kirsty Taylor, 24, were whisked away on their wedding day in a glass carriage – the same model that Jordan and Peter used when they tied the knot in 2005.
When AJ proposed to Kirsty in that year he promised her the wedding of her dreams and she told him she wanted one right out of a fairytale.
Retail manager Kirsty said: "I’d always dreamed of a wedding with a big dress and arriving in a horse-drawn carriage.
"We looked at some different carriages on the Internet but when I saw the glass one I knew it was the one I wanted. I didn’t know it was the one Jordan used."
As well as the carriage, the couple, who live in Mayfield Gardens, Oswaldtwistle, had a cake designed in the shape of the Cinderella castle in Disney-world, Florida, and Kirsty’s white floor-length ballroom dress was covered with Swar-ovski crystals.
She had 10 bridesmaids including the couple’s daughter Brittany, four, and AJ’s daughter Chloe, 10.
All the bridesmaids wore pink.
The couple’s son AJay, aged one-and-a-half, was a page boy.
Kirsty said: "We wanted a very traditional wedding with a church service and all of our family there."
Following the ceremony last weekend at New Lane Church, Oswaldtwistle, the carriage took the couple through Oswaldtwistle, Accri-ngton and Clayton-le-Moors before arriving at the Clarion Hotel in Billington for the reception.
They are currently enjoying a honeymoon in Disney-world and the Bahamas.
AJ, who works as a DJ, said he was delighted he could give his new wife the wedding of her dreams.
He added: "I really wanted Kirsty to have a wonderful day. It was important our wedding day was special.’’
Kirsty said: "I was lucky. He wanted to help and was really interested in the planning."
