A WINNING team... that's champion duo Jimmy Swindlehurst and gundog Biff.
They have shot to the top of their sport, taking an international award.
Builder Jimmy and his dog Millcottage Pathfinder, pet name Biff, have returned triumphant from the International Gundog League Retriever Society Championship.
The pair took first place at the event held at the Queensberry Estate in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
Jimmy, 58, who has a partner Mandy, lives in White Ash Lane, Oswaldtwistle, and has been competing for eight years. He has had five-and-a-half-year-old Biff since he was an eight-week-old pup.
Kind-hearted Jimmy is raising cash for the MacMillan Nurses and has organised a charity evening next Friday, 27 January, at Oswaldtwistle Conservative Club. Admission to the event is free and it will include a film show of the 2005 Retriever Championship, with refreshments, a raffle and a collection. Anyone who would like to attend should contact Jimmy on 07762 609252 to allow him to organise buffet arrangements.
