Police are appealing for information after a man's cheek bone was broken in an unprovoked attack in Great Harwood last month.

Between 9pm and 10pm on Wednesday June 2, a 27-year-old man wasapproached from behind and punched in the face, causing him to fall tothe floor on St Hubert's Road in the town. He later went to Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment to a broken cheek bone.

An investigation is underway and police are appealing to anyone who sawwhat happened to come forward.

Officers are also keen to speak to a man who was seen in the area at thetime.

He was described as Asian, with a slim to medium build, around 17-years-old and wearing glasses.

Police believe the injured man may have been involved in an earlierargument with a group of youths on Towngate, Great Harwood and are appealing to anyone who saw them to come forward.
