A group of daring line dancers have bared all in a bid to raise money for East Lancashire Hospice.
The dancers, who meet regularly at Accrington’s Poplar Club, have created an Americana-themed calendar for the cause.
The women, aged between 38 and 76, decided to produce the Calendar Girls-style publication to mark 18 years of line dancing at the town centre club.
Each month features one of 12 women posing naked – aside for some strategically placed props.
There are even group shots for January and December. Organiser Elizabeth Davies, known to her line dancing pals as Dynamite Dot, said she was very proud of their achievements.
She said: "I have been teaching line dancing at the club for 18 years and a lot of the ladies have been with me all that time.
"We’re all getting a bit older but the motto of the club is ‘fun and friendship’ and we wanted to do something to reflect that.
"We thought we could celebrate older women and the long-running club while raising money for a charity we all agree is very worthy.
"East Lancashire Hospice affects the whole community and they do fantastic work for patients and their families."
Each model chose their own line dancing themed props, such as saddles, fans, pistols, flags and casino chips for the calendar, which was shot by local photographer Janine Butterworth.
Elizabeth, 60, from Darwen, said she was keen to produce a high quality calendar and ensure everyone enjoyed the experience.
She said: "All the women chose their own poses because we’ve all got certain bits we wanted covering up and we wanted everyone to be comfortable.
"These ladies have all been fantastic and dedicated a lot of time to the project and we’re really proud of what we’ve achieved."
Jennifer Quinn, community fundraiser at the hospice said she was grateful to the girls for choosing to support it.
She added: "We know the ladies had great fun doing it."
The calendar will be on sale at The Poplar Club on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday afternoons, or directly from Elizabeth on 01254 707345 or at: email@example.com priced £5 + £1.10 p+p.
