Drivers uninjured after M65 smash

Two cars were badly damaged during a smash on the M65 last night. The drivers of the Ford Ka and Peugeot 206 walked away from the 8pm collision uninjured.

Two cars were badly damaged during a smash on the M65 last night.

The drivers of the Ford Ka and Peugeot 206 walked away from the 8pm collision uninjured.

But the three-lane westbound carriageway between Accrington and Blackburn was closed for around 40 minutes.

Hyndburn fire crews, paramedics and police all attended the scene.

A Lancashire Constabulary spokeswoman said: “It's not clear what happened but both the vehicles ended up facing the wrong way.”
