POLICE conducted seven dawn drugs raids on homes around Hyndburn yesterday following several weeks of undercover surveillance.
Teams were sent out to the homes in search of substances, including Class A drugs.
At one house in Bradshaw Street West, Church, police found more than 40 cannabis plants.
Insp Dave Magnan, who organised the raids, said at an 8am briefing: "It is part of Operation Nimrod which has been running in the area for several months.
"The targeted individuals are suspected of being in possession of drugs. We will be conducting reassurance operations around the areas affected by the raids later today."
