HISTORIAN Les Bond has joined the campaign to save the chapel by selling a Pals-themed CD.
The disc, entitled On A Summer’s Morning in France, includes music, readings and extracts from soldiers’ letters.
It was put together by Mr Bond, 61, of Ascot Way, Accrington, along with his fellow-historian Nick Caffrey of Accrington.
Mr Bond said: "We put this together in 2001 and I still have quite a few copies left. It seems a shame for them to go to waste and it is an excellent way to raise money for this worthy cause."
The CDs are available at the Observer offices on Blackburn Road, Accrington, priced at £8.
