Environmental groups have teamed up to screen a Fairtrade documentary.
Hyndburn Fairtrade Group and Friends of the Earth have organised a screening of the documentary Buyer Be Fair at Accrington Library.
Buyer Be Fair is a 60 minute film about Fairtrade and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. The documentary looks at how Fairtrade and FSC certification of coffee and timber is affecting people's lives in Mexican villages and how consumers in the UK can help to make a positive change.
The film will be shown at 6.30pm on Monday March 29 at Accrington Library, on St. James Street. Doors open at 6.15pm.
Fairtrade refreshments will be served before and after the film. The venue also has wheelchair access.
Admission is free, but places must be booked in advance.
Small voluntary donations will be gratefully received to cover the cost of the licence the group has paid to screen the film.
Following the screening, at 7.45pm the Hyndburn Fairtrade Group will be holding their Annual General Meeting. Anyone is welcome to attend this
meeting as well.
