A girl has suffered head injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Accrington.
Police and paramedics were called to Burnley Road near to the junction with Seathwaite Way following the incident at 6.30am this morning, which has seen road closures and traffic problems.

“She has suffered head injuries but is conscious and breathing.
“The road is closed and accident and investigation are at the scene now. Apparently there is quite a lot of accident damage to the vehicle so the ambulance service has declared it as a major trauma.
“At the moment the child appears to have a minor head injury, however they are slightly concerned that with the damage to the vehicle it could be worse.”
